These agreements allow students to study part of their degree at one of our partner universities for one or two semesters. Have you ever thought about the problem of figuring out where it is, how much is there, how to get it out and what it's worth? This is the job of a Petroleum Engineer. Petroleum engineers travel the world, working on interesting, multi-million dollar projects - and get paid very well for doing so. They use leading-edge technology, such as computer simulations and 3D Virtual Reality, to solve the many challenges in getting natural resources out of the earth. The multi-billion dollar digital camera industry is founded on enormous advances in optical sensors, micro-motors, displays, system-on-chip integration, data compression, memory devices, high efficiency energy storage and human-machine interaction. In this talk we take a look inside the digital camera and show how this one device relates to studies in electronics, computer systems, telecommunications, avionics and sustainable energy. We also look at some of the emerging applications and challenges in law enforcement and security. You won't believe what we can find out about you.
